In Mrs. Kirchgassner's class, students enjoy playing in centers, creating art with pumpkin seeds, and even having a pretend birthday party with the leaves on playground!
Last week during our Fall Celebration, Mrs. Henderlight's classes worked at centers and created at tabletops, class journaled, made a Frankenstein craft and ate dirt pudding. How fun! π
At HELC we love to recognize positive behaviors that have been submitted to the office. Staff send in referrals and Mrs. Sansone makes a phone call home. The students favorite part is when they get to pick out of the office treasurer chest!
On Friday, students in Mrs. Bibb's class had a monster themed day. They read the book "Are You My Monster?," ate monster toast, made and drew a monster, played the 'Shape Monster' game, and did a monster dance.
Popping Into Preschool!
On Thursday, we had an after school even where students were able to bring someone special to help them come learn all about apples! We read a story, worked on math and literacy skills, and enjoyed some apples.π
In Mrs. Neuhaus' room, they read Oonga Boonga, a story about baby Louise who can't stop crying. They worked on their fine motor skills by creating sock babies and using them to retell the story, trying the same things baby Louise's family tried to help their babies stop crying.
Room 142 learned about Garrett Morgan's invention of the traffic light. We talked about what each color light means, tore paper to create our own traffic light, then played "Red Light/Green Light"! #nwlsdgobeyond#helcpandas
