Gotta say that Mike Leigh is a blindspot of mine, maybe seen 4 of his films. And a Lifeless Ordinary is one of the best films of the 90s and has my favourite REM track in it.

@filmobjective Shape of the Water for me, I really wanted to love it but it's that Bathroom/cinema scene pulls me right out. The fantastical is a heavy spice, especially in a 50s Mccarthyism back drop and the psychosexual Michael Shannon running around.
