@laurcunn I haven’t been in that situation, but I would suggest just skimming it. Maybe read the first sentence of each paragraph?

That way you get the big picture and don’t have to lie or hurt their feeling if you don’t finish it.

If it wasn’t a friend tho, I’d vote DNF.

I’m not usually a person prone to panic. But as I woke up and listened to the morning headlines - it was all CORONA, election, CORONA.

And I started thinking about all the germs exchanged at the gym.

And then I ditched the gym for writing.

@english_shamar I’m usually into three or four books at a time (including audiobooks).

I also tend to be reading the genre that I’m writing. But that might be the lit student in me.

I feel it helps me stay in the zone, but I get folks who say they don’t want influences of other voices.

@AsthanaAuthor It’s historical fiction, but heavily based on the real letters of three brothers who served in the Navy during WW2.

The oldest was sent to the pacific, the middle spent time in the Caribbean and Italy, and they youngest was there for Normandy.
