Many orphans aging out of institutional care at 18 lack the support & skills to successfully navigate independence. HFTF is different. Our teens have opportunities to attend university or trade school, or to apprentice in self-sustaining ventures like HFTF’s new leather workshop.

The most important part of our work is FAMILY. Since 2018, we have been building new families in Ethiopia through domestic adoption. Ethiopia has 5.6M orphans but no culture of adoption. HFTF is working to change that by placing 300 kids into their forever families in 3 years!

We love our faithful supporters who advocate with us to place orphaned children into families! The Johansons introduced their Fresno friends to Belay, who shared exciting things happening at HFTF and ways people can join the effort to transform the lives of children in Ethiopia.
