It is with great sadness that H-France announces that Chris Jones, Associate Professor of Medieval History at the University of Canterbury (Aoteaora/New Zealand) and Chief Editor of H-France Review, has passed away suddenly while traveling in the UK.
Chris's colleagues have praised his warm spirit; outstanding generosity; & exceptional ability as a teacher, scholar, & advocate for his field. His passing is a terrible loss for H-France, as well as for his family & friends, colleagues, & the field of Medieval French history.
