It’s day 6 of #Archive30 and it’s our favourite topic #ColourfulArchives! There is lots of colour in the archive, from items made by the school to items made by our pupils in class! Our girls summer dresses were very colourful, you could choose blue, pink, lilac, green or beige!
It’s day 5 of #Archive30 and it’s #BusinessArchives We are a school archive but we are also a business archive! The pupils love seeing the very large, impressive looking ledgers but we love the ones the close with a strap and buckle-data protection 1800s style!
It’s day 4 of #Archive30 and it’s #ArchiveConservation For #SchoolArchivesDay a few weeks ago we showed some pupils how to use smoke sponges to clean our records. They were fascinated by old elastic bands and what happens to them over time!
It’s day 2 of #Archive30 and it’s #ArchiveBeginnings our archive began in 1991 after an archive business survey looked at the school’s collection and highlighted its potential for the school. Since then the school has taken on a professional archivist and the archive has grown
