Air pollution in North India is a national emergency—a public health crisis that is stealing our children’s future and suffocating the elderly, and an environmental and economic disaster that is ruining countless lives.

The poorest among us suffer the most, unable to escape the toxic air that surrounds them. Families are gasping for clean air, children are falling sick, and millions of lives are being cut short. Tourism is declining and our global reputation is crumbling.

The cloud of pollution covers hundreds of kilometres. Cleaning it up will need major changes and decisive action - from governments, companies, experts and citizens. We need a collective national response, not political blame games.

As Parliament meets in a few days, MPs will all be reminded of the crisis by our irritated eyes and sore throats. It is our responsibility to come together and discuss how India can end this crisis once and for all.

अमेरिका व कनाडा द्वारा लगाए गए गंभीर आरोपों पर भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस ने पहले ही प्रधानमंत्री से संसद के दोनों सदनों में विपक्ष के नेताओं और अन्य राजनीतिक नेताओं को विश्वास में लेने के लिए कहा है।

भारत-कनाडा के बिगड़ते संबंधों और भारत-अमेरिका संबंधों को लेकर बढ़ती चिंताओं के बीच यह मांग ज़रूरी हो गई है।

कनाडा द्वारा लगाए गए आरोप, जिन्हें अब कई अन्य देशों का समर्थन प्राप्त ���ै, भारत की वैश्विक प्रतिष्ठा को धूमिल करने और ब्रांड इंडिया को नुकसान पहुँचाने का प्रयास है।

यह ज़रूरी है कि भारत सरकार इस मुद्दे पर तुरंत और स्पष्ट रूप से अपना रुख़ साफ करे।

विपक्ष को इस प्रकरण की पूरी जानकारी होनी चाहिए, क्योंकि भारत की वैश्विक प्रतिष्ठा की रक्षा करना हमारी संयुक्त ज़िम्मेदारी है।

कानून के शासन में विश्वास रखने वाले और उसका पालन करने वाले देश के रूप में हमारे देश की अंतरराष्ट्रीय छवि ख़तरे में है, और यह ज़रूरी है कि हम इसे बचाने के लिए मिलकर काम करें।
राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा व विदेश नीति पर पूरे देश का एक होना आवश्यक है।

The Indian National Congress has already asked the Prime Minister to take the Leaders of Opposition in both Houses of Parliament, and other political leaders, into confidence on the serious charges leveled against the government of India by USA and Canada.

This demand is necessitated by the worsening India-Canada relations and growing concerns about India-US ties.

Allegations made by Canada, now backed by several other countries, are threatening to escalate, tarnishing India’s global reputation and damaging Brand India.

It is imperative that the Government of India promptly and clearly articulate its stance on this issue.

The opposition must be fully informed, as safeguarding India's global standing is a shared responsibility.

Our nation’s international image as a country that believes in and adheres to rule of law is at risk, and it is crucial that we act together to defend it. On matters relating to national security and foreign policy, the nation must always be one.
