@Kaido44223@TurkTalksFC This is false, we had united fans singing about being top of the Uwcl after match day 3.
I remember vividly that Jess park and Hinata getting balon d'or shouts Lol.
That momentum faded as the fixture schedule became too demanding for such a small squad as injuries mounted.
@jimmmmm____ I think she was misprofiled by the club. And when she arrived, they realized the player they got wasn't the player they thought they were getting
@chaoticmess93@timstillman_ United got 55 points in 22/23, the second most in the history of the Wsl.
Did the double over Arsenal and City and guess how the club rewarded Skinner, by letting his two best players leave that summer and remember vividly that was the summer Hanson left permanently, be fair
@XaneSaint69668@timstillman_ This is just a blatant lie.
The biggest difference between marc and Arteta in getting over the line is continous investment in his idealogy by Arsenal.
United got 55 points in 2023 and let their two best players leave for free, one to a direct rival.
Let's not rewrite history
@Joanne80980151@timstillman_@SkinnerxTurner U can't judge united and Arsenal by their performance in a head to head games.
The true strength of a team is measured in their overall performance across the entire season
And that Arsenal Squad were seconds aways from back to back Uwcl finals and finished 11 points above united
@VictoriaLysons@NeelendraSing12 Just brace yourself for what's coming, it's going to get very bad on the pitch before it gets better.
Things wouldn't just be all merry
@Adam_Bateman_UK To be fair Renee promoted Katie Reid but she's a generational talent so that's a no brainer on her path
Sonya also gave Baumann a chance but that was injury enforced and she took her chance but generally teams at the top rarely gamble on teenagers
@mufc_vas@whitelioonn@nelly_uk7@em_sandy You need to stop deceiving yourself and accept that, except you are a generational talent like Reid or Baumann, you don't get opportunities to develop at top clubs in the Wsl, that is the reality the Wsl.
Olivia smith also falls into this category despite her struggles early on
@mufc_vas@whitelioonn@nelly_uk7@em_sandy Yeah let's ignore all the failed young talent that fallen by the way due to lack of opportunities at Arsenal,
Gio,Khul,Kafaji, Harbert.
The likes of Agyemang, Lia,Jessie , Madison, who are still struggling at the club for opportunities even Kyra at 23 is still struggling...
@mufc_vas@hini_jayde@sportsfanJR5 Lol๐
I think you have gotten too used to united's mediocrity in the transfer Market that you don't realize serious teams in the league are capable of paying record fees for players who are not automatic starters and Rotation options.
@FayoseGbolahan@GameDayMUWomen@TomJGarry Global superstars don't go to United because the club lacks the history and prestige to attract elite talent. The alternative is offering an exceptional financial package, but they can't compete there either. Without both, they're simply not a destination for the biggest names.
@FayoseGbolahan@GameDayMUWomen@TomJGarry ... Has flattered to deceive all her career and isn't world class till this day, struggled badly in the Wsl as well.
Winning the Uwcl and World cup doesn't make you world class or a global superstar...
@FayoseGbolahan@GameDayMUWomen@TomJGarry Are any of these players global superstars, will anyone break the bank for any of them or don't you understand the definition of a global superstar.
Nikita parris has been bouncing all over the place seemingly not good enough to get a renewal from a decent club, Geyse...
@GameDayMUWomen@TomJGarry All those players who went from being nobodies to becoming world class household names at united did it under Skinner.
Again I say be fair, stop rewriting history because you dislike a manager.
Majority of the players Skinner worked with were not worldclass
