So much of the judiciary’s authority rests on respect and prestige, given their inability to directly execute their own orders. Symbolic contempt can undermine this, and could involve things like noisy road construction outside federal courthouses and humiliation of judges.
Without substantive rejection of the order, all other resistance means little. States should explicitly enforce (both prosecution and conviction) their laws in violation of federal court orders.
The biggest con is the lie that Republican Governors and State Legislatures don’t have the power to stop the federal government/SCOTUS.
It’s a lie. They do have the power.
They can stop all of this madness.
They choose not to.
The independent American spirit that led to the creation of the freest republic the world has ever seen, was created by the individualistic and self-sustaining colonial lifestyle.
People who learn to be absolutely independent, making their own food and defending themselves.
