HHS CTE provides hands-on learning experiences that enable CTE students to apply practical skills to real-world scenarios while building content mastery.
Culinary 1 students made chocolate ganache cakes. Students had their cakes judged by advanced culinary fir best decorating. Former floral design student (pic 3) was the winner!

Principles of Law wrapping up wildfire lesson w/ camping theme w/ s’mores snack and hotdogs. Students remembered Smokey The Bear from childhood and learned learned how he became the mascot of the USDA Forest Service. Wildfire prevention and safety lesson ✅
Captain Gilliam from Kyle Fire Department spoke to HHS Principles of Law students about careers w/in the fire department. Students also learned about the Hays CISD Fire Academy.
Culinary I students are learning about the history of gingerbread houses, how eggnog is made, history of fruit cake and Christmas cookies. The lesson wouldn't be complete without a few samples and gingerbread house competition!
