At our new Biology Building at the @univienna we have a wonderful family room for use by staff and visitors with young children. Full of books, toys, games, puzzles and places to sleep, a desk for working and even slippers to put on.
Coolest natural phenomenon I have seen in my Limno career. Check out our OA paper on the blue staining of Pasqua lake last spring. Great collaboration with academia and management
@casey_remmer The only advice that helped me write that section was when my supervisor said “pretend it is a letter to the leader in your field and tell them what fantastic things you have discovered” not sure that is helpful but it for me in the right headspace.

@carlyziter @casey_remmer I think it was more similar to an extension. From the student perspective it basinet nothing changes. It is not a top up to federal parental leave so you don’t need to apply for any of that.
@carlyziter @casey_remmer My PI had NSERC but I personally did not. I was a post doc at the time but I believe it is the same for PhDs. They covered my salary 100% for a year. The paperwork was just one piece of paper where my PI said how much he was paying me and then NSERC sent him that $$
