B.C. wants an annual royalty from Alberta oil moving through its province.

Meanwhile, roughly 900,000 containers from B.C.’s ports cross Alberta every year on their way east.

Canada cannot operate on the principle that B.C.’s geography has value—but Alberta’s does not.

Reciprocity is only fair. Alberta can do better.
