A lot of people walk into rooms wearing their problems on their face, and then wonder why some doors don’t open.

Effort opens the door. Energy determines the ceiling.

I learned this in my international student days in London.

My days started before sunrise.
Two hours of early morning cleaning before school.

And on some days, a short nap after school,
Then straight to a nightclub job. Cleaning and washing cups.

It was hard.
It was humbling, getting regular knocks on my head as I try to clean broken glass and people are partying hard.

But I made one decision that changed everything.

I refused to carry my suffering into the room.

When a bottle dropped, I moved first.
When a customer needed help, I showed up calm and cheerful.

Not because I was pretending life was easy,
but because someone else was there to enjoy their night, and I was part of making that happen.

What surprised me was that
I went home with more money in tips than my actual wages.

Same job.
Same hours.
Different energy.

Most people don't fail because they are lazy.
They fail because they carry resentment, stress, and entitlement unconsciously.

And people feel it.

There is no shortage of money.
There is no shortage of opportunity.
There is a shortage of people who can regulate their emotions under pressure.

That is why the cheerful ones get remembered and the helpful ones get recommended.

We are moving with intention this year.
