"Holistic Movement Design – Documentation of Hiroaki Umeda’s International Tour" is now available on STAGE BEYOND BORDERS!

In the summer of 2024, Umeda landed in Spain in order to perform his new work “assimilating” as well as “Moving State 1,” a production featuring four dancers from Somatic Field Project, at Veranos de la Villa, Madrid’s largest festival of culture and the arts.

Through footage of the festival performances and rehearsals, an interview that goes behind the scenes of Umeda’s works, we delve into the world of his works, in which original movement and visual images fuse together, and look at what makes them so fascinating.
