@HISReadingTeam is welcoming back our students with @PlayOsmo. Why? Coding helps with sequencing and problem solving. PizzaCo shows them the importance of reading instructions. Words reinforce sound recognition and spelling patterns. All packaged in F.U.N. @HELPISKL #his_learning

@HISReadingTeam use chunking to help reinforce language in our readers and to improve reading fluency. It helps make learning more manageable, and helps with how we learn new information and vocabulary as well as reinforces prior knowledge contextually. #HISlearning @HELPISKL

@HISReadingTeam is focusing on kindness, with a lovely story from Malaysian author & illustrator @wendee_tan . The students responded by creating their own Lili hair, simply by using crepe paper and water- with the message 'Kindness always leaves a trace' #hislearning @HELPISKL

The Masteries aren't just for our students, but ourselves as well. Thanks to @CarrieLingYii for upskilling us to incorporate coding and @makeymakey to suit our students needs. Here we've coded letter sounds to simple buttons to explore teaching possibilities - which are endless!
