A view of Madras and the siege by Hyder-Ali, an impressive army march in front of the city, almost resembling a triumphal procession with riders and the Hyer Ali on a festive decorated Elephants.
Battle of Pollilur on 10 September; it was the worst defeat of British troops in India to date. Hyder then renewed the siege of Arcot, which fell in November.
