Kiran Kaur, 53, was found guilty of assisting an offender after her son Vickrum Digwa handed her the 21cm blade used to stab 18-year-old Henry Nowak in Southampton last December.
She removed it from the scene and took it home, where police later recovered it along with more than 20 other weapons. She was sentenced today to three years in prison.

Foisal Ahmed, of West Street, Buckingham, was sentenced in his absence to eight years in prison at Chester Crown Court on Monday, January 19.
The 34-year-old had earlier been found guilty of two counts of rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and child neglect following a nine-day trial in September 2025.
With the assistance of the CPS, Interpol, the National Crime Agency (NCA), the French Judiciary and specifically the Paris Judicial Police Directorate, Ahmed was successfully located and arrested on April 28, 2026.
Ahmed has now been returned to the UK to serve his custodial sentence at a cost to the British taxpayer.
