FI Maths/Sciences teacher on summer break; tax & business consultant @NumericConsult, MEd (Ed Tech), tech/sci/math geek, #hamradio, husband, dog/cat dad.
@AnthonyGermain@TheCurrentCBC I always enjoy CBCs summer programming with people filling in for each other and hearing some new voices here and there. Particularly when you always hear them read/report on news and they fill in for something more casual, like when @hawthornandrewj fills in on @THESIGNALCBC.
@areteagape @MsEsco_in_6th The idea of paying for casual day should only ever be a fundraiser for a charity. Locally, many employers had a jeans Friday fundraiser where you paid a loonie or toonie and the funds all went to the childrenβs hospital (we only have one in our province).
@sonic1029@USSMUSIC I donβt go to concerts often, so Iβm amazed that I got 5. Coldplay in Toronto, and 4 were in St. Johnβs, NL - The Hip at the Folk Festival, and City & Colour, Arkells, and July Talk at the George Street Festival!
@teachergoals Not to rain on anyoneβs parade here, but, while in operation, one of these vehicles houses freezers full of frozen goodies, the other vehicle houses vats full of molten oil. I know which one I would choose to drive around the neighbourhood.
@Chef_Deryn@ktonga@PicturesFoIder Smallest to largest you say? ss:mm:hh DD/MM/YYYY π€.
I do agree though that DD/MM/YY makes more sense than MM/DD/YY.
@hiroshimacc@ktonga@PicturesFoIder Honestly I didnβt realize that it was the official standard in Canada. I knew that government of Canada documents most often used ISO 8601.
@simonjrowe@ktonga@PicturesFoIder Iβm quite familiar with ISO 8601. I meant as in I wish the other terrible formats would disappear and never be though of again by everyone in all countries.
@ktonga@PicturesFoIder I still don't understand how YYYY-MM-DD hasn't become *the* international standard. It's the only one that makes sense. Unfortunately I'm in Canada where all three seem to be found equally frequently. π
@MrBarnesHTH@MUNMathStats It always gets me when Ss I taught in JH are just about to finish grade 12. This crowd wouldβve been in gr 7 when I was a regular sub at @JuniperRidgeNL. I know they likely wonβt read this on Twitter, but I wish them all the best of luck on the CPT and in their future studies!
Attack on Inclusive Education & 2SLGBTQIA+ Community Members: A Newfoundland and Labrador Human Rights Concern.
#pride#inclusivitymatters#humanrights
The @NLTeachersAssoc will not stand silently by while our members are attacked for being who they are and for creating safe learning spaces for their students. 2SLGBTQ+ rights are human rights. The mis- and dis-information circulating is grounded in hate. 1/3 @GSDSIC
@MarkFos77288122@NicholasFerroni Iβve already earned my holdback pay, I wonβt be getting paid for any work that I do during the summer. Itβs only to alleviate some of the time it would take in the school year so I can fill that time with supporting struggling students instead.
