@kjoules@AirEVthingTRNSP@cathaypacific@SingaporeAir As usual there is no explanation from CX for “100% flight capacity”.
In fact, @cathaypacific’s recovery has stalled. This Oct CX/UO achieved 6,292 departures from Hong Kong, which represents 76% of peak CX/UO/KA departures achieved in 2019.
@kjoules@AirEVthingTRNSP No surprise to anyone following @hkaoa.
@cathaypacific took tax payers money, shutdown an entire airline and lost thousands of frontline people, including 2,000 experienced pilots, when they slashed contracts.
It didn't have to be like this. Here is @SingaporeAir v CX:

The pandemic was hard but @cathaypacific hasn't been a good partner. Company leaders should have worked with staff and government to protect HK aviation and the company.

This is the result:
Safety wins when pilots speak with one voice, and we’re proud to stand with our colleagues around the world to stop single-pilot operations schemes. We’re committed to ending this threat to aviation safety before it gets cleared for takeoff. #SafetyStartsWith2#ALPAASF

#SafetyStartsWith2 - IFALPA, @eu_cockpit, @ALPAPilots & the global pilot community agree - anything fewer than two pilots at the controls at all times introduces unnecessary safety risks, period. https://t.co/ZQv0kcOaRP via @AviationNews
While the FAA has continued to put safety before economics when it comes to reduced-crew operations (RCO), EASA is supporting manufacturers who are working toward an RCO aircraft certification pathway. Find out more in our new report: https://t.co/UbrqT3LNdB #SafetyStartsWith2
The impact of 2020 @cathaypacific restructuring.

Reduced-crew operations could pose serious threats to the safety of flights, yet some manufacturers are working to make them the new reality. Pilots keep aviation safe. Learn more in our latest white paper on the issue: https://t.co/UGyuGipG3L
Alice Wu shilling for @cathaypacific, continues to mislead Hong Kong about its recovery, stalled at 70% since the Christmas cancellations.
Ofc, admitting this would mean acknowledging that CX restructuring has failed and has restricted the potential of HK's aviation sector.
