I couldn't agree more. It seems to be the new jargon in the Tory party- using the word "blanket restriction" as if applies to all roads. It is totally misleading.

Disappointing to see the Prime Minister misleading people on 20mph, whether intentionally or inadvertently.

This isn’t a blanket restriction. Speed limits on a large number of Welsh roads are unchanged, with journey times taking up to a minute longer.

This will save lives.

@PrifWeinidog I agree. There seems to be a new mantra in the Conservative party using the phrases "blanket speed limit" and "war on cars" or "motorists". Misleading. I, for one, find using the word war in this context extremely cynical, especially with a real war going in Ukraine etc.
