Delhi Police did not exactly cover itself in glory! Journalists, including a TNIE photographer, were hit in the lathi-charge and tear-gas action. Equally disturbing are allegations by girl students of misconduct during the crackdown and reports of pellet guns being used. Such claims must be impartially investigated. The right to protest and the duty to maintain order must go hand in hand.
