This week, we visited the Netherlands @ukinnl 🇳🇱 to understand more about best practice in the horticultural sector 🌿
@WorldHortiCentr, we heard about using new light 💡 technology to grow strawberries and flowers, and the role of drones in pest surveillance and pollination.
At @WUR’s main campus, we explored the Dutch Diamond collaboration model between industry, universities, the government and society 🤝 and we discovered how high-tech phenotyping methods and climate cells are being used to see how plants grow in different conditions.
🌿 Today members of the 🇬🇧 House of Lords @HLHorticulture finalised a 2-day visit to 🇳🇱
The visit included trips to @WorldHortiCentr, Wageningen University & Research Centre @WUR & members met with officials from the 🇳🇱 Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality @minlnv
