A big nerd. Queer lawyer. I seem to tweet about politics and, apparently, #F1. If you’re under 18 please go away.

@401Casey Last recession they filed the largest bankruptcy in history (Lehman). Massive firm. Now itself bankrupt. Shocking collapse.

@SohrabAhmari These hypergamous fruit sex videos are confusing. Cannot tell if it’s a malaprop & he means hypertrophic sex organs or if the fruit porn is like a cherry fucking a persimmon, or an irregular apple fucking a normal one. Either way, concerning.

ai-generated hypergamous fruit porn is a new one for me, i’ll be honest

reminds of that kumail nanjiani bit on cheese (heroin + tylenol pm): “just do the heroin! you already have heroin; it is very powerful”

It’s really absurd how you cannot find any non-specialty candies without palm oil, sunflower oil, etc. Everything tastes nasty & dull too. I suppose it helps deter consumption, which is a plus.

[The Food Manufacturing Guy @TipOfTheBanana]

Reese's Pieces have no chocolate in them. The peanuts had their oil pressed out and a cheaper fat put back in.

Sugar is first, then partially defatted peanuts, then hydrogenated palm kernel and soybean oil, then corn syrup solids. Everything after that is 2% or less, and it's the dyes, the glaze, some vanillin and a little milk. There's no cocoa anywhere.

Partially defatted just means the peanuts went through a press. The peanut oil comes out one side and gets sold as peanut oil. What's left is a dry peanut flour, and that's what the center is made from, because flour holds a shape in a panning drum and doesn't go rancid. Then they put fat back in, and the fat they picked is hydrogenated palm kernel oil, which is solid at room temperature and costs less than peanut oil. You can see the swap on the panel. 38 pieces have 6 g of fat and all 6 are saturated. Peanut oil is mostly unsaturated, so that number isn't the peanut.

The shell is sugar with 4 dyes and a coat of shellac.

Lawson & Checo on the same team, what could possibly go wrong? 😂

[Cadillac F1 News @CadillacF1News_]

Liam Lawson’s management has made contact with Cadillac over a possible seat in the future!

It’s also understood that Yuki Tsunoda and Esteban Ocon has also made contact but it is unlikely for Ocon to join Cadillac.

Colton Herta is also in the mix if Cadillac decide to part ways with Valtteri Bottas, but it’s understood that Cadillac is taking a cautious approach to any potential driver change.

@bluedog373 @Cadillac_F1 Cadillac is doing fine. It will take years before they can challenge the midfield. Even convergence at the end of the reg set is optimistic. Look at Williams. The capex limits really hit teams that didn’t over-invest pre cost cap (Cadillac, Haas,
Williams…). Be realistic.

[Some Queer @HLSIII]

Pretty stark choice for @Cadillac_F1: (a) choose the American driver who underwhelmed in F2 in the vain hope of wooing the IndyCar/NASCAR diehards who will *never* take F1 seriously; or (b) give a rabid American F1 fanbase what they want. Hmmm. Hmmm. What to do, what to do?

[formularacers @formularacers_]

🚨 | Yuki Tsunoda and Colton Herta are understood to be leading contenders for a 2027 Cadillac seat, with Bottas' future in doubt.

Ocon is not expected to secure a place with the American team.

So a few years ago I started a side quest where I searched for neighborhood murals in NYC. When I found one I took a picture. When I heard of one, I traveled there by subway bus or foot and took a picture. There were 3 rules:
1. It has to include a direct reference to the actual neighborhood. So "Welcome to Williamsburg" counts, but "Williamsburg Bagel Factory" doesn't.
2. It has to be an artistic representation of some sort. Painted murals, sculpture, digital display etc. A plain sign doesn't count.
3. It has to be semi permanent in nature. No posters.

So here was the first one in my collection, Astoria Queens:

@AliceFromQueens @MattBruenig @TheStalwart Yes: in 1.5 years.

[Some Queer @HLSIII]

@Reynske420 @Cadillac_F1 That seems unlikely. Higher upside is wild to say after the F2 performance. Herta should’ve been wiping the floor with the kids given his experience. Massive aura loss for Indycar as a result; rating him so highly raises questions.
