You can dress a woman with a trash bag and keep her away from leisure activities and she is still likely to fall victim to men. The issue has never been and will never be the woman.
So focus on an actual solution that doesnβt bring them back to oppression.
Nothing infuriates me more when people try to question a womanβs actions leading up to an assault.
Not only is it victim blaming, it is also an attempt to oppress women and take away the little progress we have made in society. You donβt actually care that someone has beenβ
Their clothes doesnβt matter. Where they are doesnβt matter. Who they are with doesnβt matter and what they drink doesnβt matter.
It happens anyways. So to try and put the blame on the victim or to try and suggest we should keep them oppressed for βsafetyβ reasons, is foolish.
I believe roads may cross again if they are meant to, but it is important to note that roads were built by humans.
So, perhaps, a little nudge in the right direction wouldnβt do any harm.
