Somebody asked me last week why we would "choose" to live on one income when two would be so much easier.
Easier for what, exactly?
The DINK couples I know have beautiful apartments and Sunday brunches. What they usually don't have is anyone depending on them, shaping them, or forcing them to grow up.
Our home is loud. It is expensive in a different way. But every single day it is producing something a bigger paycheck never could: children who know how to read, how to argue well, how to love their neighbor, and how to run a household of their own someday.
Augustine talked about ordo amoris, rightly ordered love. Some things are worth more than money because they were never supposed to be measured in money in the first place.
Which household are you building?
You must understand that the average modern person is completely disconnected from both life and death. They hand over their agency to "professionals" for both childbirth and death arrangements; they never even have to sit with either discomfort for more than a few minutes. Have mercy
@thsottiaux Uploading videos via the mobile app over Remote would be awesome. Even better would be the ability to screen share from mobile, with prompts based on phone screen context or attaching to another app. As a mobile game developer, this would be a huge advantage.
@dantefofante I have a personal daily heuristic: I use a wicked sharp razor blade to shave in the morning. If I'm at all distracted or try to move too quickly, I WILL cut myself. The sight of blood always snaps me out of the haze and back into the moment. One hand. One blade.
