"More Than a Woman" was written by the Gibb brothers during the Saturday Night Fever era and became one of the soundtrack’s distinctive deep cuts. Unusually, the album features two official versions of the song: the Bee Gees’ own recording, driven by Barry Gibb’s signature falsetto, and a cover by Tavares. It was the Tavares version that was released as a single in the United States, where it reached #32 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Every Breath You Take” is from The Police’s 1983 album Synchronicity. Written by Sting during the breakdown of his first marriage, the track became the band's biggest hit, spending eight consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching #1 in the UK, Canada and several other countries. It also won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1984.
The song gained a new generation of fans when Sean Combs, then known as Puff Daddy, sampled it for "I'll Be Missing You" in 1997 without first obtaining permission. The publishing rights were later settled, with Sting receiving 100% of the songwriting royalties from the new composition, making "Every Breath You Take" the most financially successful song of his career and earning him millions of dollars over the decades.
