🎓 Today is our seniors' last official day! This week, they had the wonderful opportunity to visit with the next generation of HMS Cougars. 💙 #HMSDeafPride
Our after-school program wrapped up a few weeks ago, but we’re still relishing the core memories! Rock climbing was definitely a highlight, but the real win was the opportunity to extend ASL access beyond the regular school day.
We are proud to see HMS represented at the 3rd annual @BostonSchools Seal of Biliteracy Awards! Earning the MA State Seal for ASL embodies our mission: fostering fluency in both ASL & English to empower our students to contribute to the world as self-determined Deaf individuals.
🎉 We are still smiling after last night’s Family Fun event! ✨
It was incredible to have our students, families, and staff all together to eat, laugh, and celebrate our amazing community. Thank you to everyone who joined us to keep this wonderful tradition going strong! 💙💛
The tradition of excellence continues! 🏅 Huge shout-out to our incredible HMS athletes for showing true strength, heart, and Cougar pride at last weekend's Special Olympics Track & Field events. You inspire us all! 🏃♂️💨💙🐾 #SpecialOlympics#HMSDeafPride
Some PreK students took to the hallways to serve as HMS' ✉️📫 carriers! While they look adorable in their USPS gear, they’re actually hard at work. Activities like this help our youngest learners explore community roles while learning the importance of service & communication.
Huge thanks to artist Ross Miller for bringing history to life! 🌿 HMS 5th graders headed to Boston Common this week to help build a traditional fishweir, a structure used by the Massachusett people over 4,000 years ago. 🐟

There’s something special about the bonds formed over a Pre-K breakfast table. These faces are proof that the best part of school isn't just what you learn, but who you learn it with.
Happy Monday from our crew to yours! 🍎🙌
HMS is so much more than a building; it’s a community where no one stands alone. 🌟 Our administrators always remind us that it truly takes a village to support our students, and this Teacher Appreciation Week, we spent every moment celebrating that collective heartbeat.
Still 💭 about these treats from the BSAC Showcase! Huge props to the entrepreneurial talent behind this booth. From branding & vision to the customer service & snacks, the "boss" energy was undeniable. We love to see Ss launching their own ventures & showing us how it's done!
A huge (slightly belated) hug to Nurse Kerisha for #SchoolNurseDay! Whether she’s handing out "magic" ice packs or just offering a comforting smile like in this picture, she is a source of calm, comfort, and kindness for everyone at HMS. 🩺🩹
Our HS Ss had the incredible opportunity to meet with Ashton Jean-Pierre, a Deaf photographer visiting all the way from Australia. 📸🇦🇺 As a creator, Ashton shared not only his incredible work but also his journey of navigating the industry and the power of visual storytelling.
Not all heroes wear capes... some wear aprons! 🍎 🍕
A few days late, but we couldn't let #SchoolLunchHeroDay pass w/o a shout-out to our incredible caf. team. As part of their community unit, PreK painted this adorable tribute to the "heroes" who keep them fed & happy every day.
