Today we mark the 42nd anniversary of six brave men killed when their landing craft 'Foxtrot Four', from HMS FEARLESS was attacked and sunk by Argentine aircraft as she ferried vehicles in Choiseul Sound to help troops in the closing stages for the liberation of the #Falklands.

Today, we remember the exceptional bravery and the sacrifices of those who took part in the Normandy Landings. As an amphibious platform, we especially pay tribute to all those sailors and marines involved in Operation Nepture, the seaborne element of the invasion.

Personal Development (PDev) is a key tenant of our training regime that ensures our sailors are ready to perform their roles effectively and with confidence. Our Cdr WE recently completed the Underwater Escape Training (UET) under the watchful eyes of the skilled instructors.

Our resident Change Advocate Network (CAN) representative, Lt Cdr Will Astley RN, has delivered several workshops over the past few weeks. These engaging sessions have covered a diverse spectrum of topics, including: empowerment, self-awareness, and benefits of a growth mindset.

The last duty of our Senior Naval Officer (SNO) before he departs was to chair an informal 'Christmas' Heads of Department (CHoDs) meeting @ChinaFleet Club in #Saltash. We took the opportunity to thank him for his hard over his 3 year tenure and present him with a leaving gift.

Reflecting on an important week for BULW that saw a major milestone in our regeneration programme reached. The 'partial flood-up' on Tuesday gave the 'LPD enterprise' high confidence the 'flood-up' will be successful.
