Last weekend, we also hosted the General Warfare (GW) Management Group meeting, attended by Senior #MaritimeReservists from around the UK.
The meeting was to plan training as well as brainstorming ideas for training opportunities for the future. Watch this space!

This morning, @PoppyLegion officially opened this year's Field of Remembrance in #Gateshead.

Alongside representatives of the Armed Forces, personnel from HMS CALLIOPE joined veterans and their families, local dignitaries and the public to pay tribute to the fallen #lestweforget

Due to the current weather warning and impact of Storm Babet, it will not be possible to deliver our annual ‘Toast the Admiral’ Trafalgar Day event at Collingwood Monument, scheduled for this Saturday 21 October, in its usual format.

With the scene set, our study team will now concentrate on the Western Front, the role played by the 63rd (Royal Naval) Division and how they applied our core #values that still serve as the foundation of our organisation today.

@Heugh_Museum tells the story of the bombardment of the Hartlepools, which took place on Wednesday 16th December 1914. #HeughBattery and neighbouring lighthouse Battery were engaged in a ship-to-shore combat with the German navy.
