I walked away from politics many years ago but it's now come back looking for me, banging on the door, just as it has for everyone else. RTs don't mean approval
What Ed Miliband has done to the local economy in Aberdeen is absolutely disgraceful. He has choked off the oil and gas economy because of his net zero claptrap. Absolutely shameful.
When Labour said “We will NOT increase tax on working people” was that misinformation or disinformation?
Hold on to your pants Rachel’s about to increase taxes again rather than cut welfare.🤡
NOBODY needs Keir Starmer's "permission" to post anything to the internet!
People need to read Article 19 of the Human Rights act!
Starmer is a human rights lawyer.
He is more than aware of this @Keir_Starmer
On Times Radio today I heard Reform and Restore voters repeatedly described as "racist" by a Times columnist; a slur left unchallenged by both his fellow panellist, a former Tory minister, and both presenters. These voters represent a third of the electorate. By stigmatising millions of Britons who feel that the country's borders have become porous, the mainstream media further corrodes confidence in the public's willingness to see them as honest brokers of information.
A well-heeled homeowner has spent nearly £1 million converting his home so that it could achieve an Energy Performance Certificate with an ‘A’ rating – and demonstrated just how unaffordable Net Zero is. https://t.co/BSZfXE6CK9
Labour MP Kim Leadbeater on Radio 4 this morning bemoaning the polarisation in Britain and arguing that the "forces" trying to "divide us" need to be "challenged more". I'd pay a bit more attention if she had spoken out a bit more forcefully against the extremist forces in her own constituency who hounded the Batley schoolteacher and sent him into hiding. Instead, she released a statement (a year later) which included the line: "The reason I am not discussing this matter publicly is that I have specifically been asked not to by the family involved." How brave.
BBC News had a good run, inoculated from market forces and producing news - increasingly aimed, not at customers - but newsroom peers and awards judges. In recent years, most notably its coverage of the 2015 migrant crisis, Brexit, Trump and Israel, BBC News showed itself to be institutionally incapable of balance. It doesn’t deserve to be decimated. It deserves to be shut down.
My brother in law, Roy Hattersley, died yesterday at 93. He had a long & meaningful career in Labour Politics. His second career as an author showed similar range & curiosity. He wrote books about the Edwardians, Catholics in Britain, & even a book in his dog Buster's voice.
My brief take on @GBNEWS re Labour's 2-tier social media ban for u 16s. Somehow Starmer forgot to ban Bluesky. They're such numpties: so keen to contol how plebs communicate, they forget to control their own comms & make their biases blatantly obvious.

A covert Home Office unit founded by an ex-MI6 spy has been secretly advising police on 'controlling the narrative' during Britain’s race riots, i.e., manipulating and suppressing speech. Is this thought policing? https://t.co/IHpPTgkRX9
Neil Oliver underscores how Net Zero rhetoric has gone quiet now that technocratic elites need dependable energy for vast data centres, which he describes as "the building blocks of a digital cage".
He says the sudden return to oil and gas, after years of promoting wind and solar, exposes the "climate crisis hoax" for all to see.
Why is Sir Keir Starmer’s Government set to ban under-16s from accessing 10 major social media platforms — including X — but not left-wing platforms like Bluesky?
Since coming to power, this Government has been openly hostile to X, a forum for debate that prides itself on free speech. Ministers have even floated the idea of blocking UK citizens’ access to the platform altogether.
Starmer can no longer pretend this is solely about protecting children.
And is anybody really gormless enough to think that voting for Burnham will change any of this? What planet are some people on. He is guaranteed to be even worse than Starmer
I live in a country where the energy secretary and his climate committee commissars are promising to ban or severely restrict:
Petrol and diesel cars
Oil and gas drilling
Gas heating
Underfloor heating
Tumble driers
Fertiliser
Air travel
and Cattle
They plan to forbid their way to prosperity.
Please somebody explain to them why that won't work.
Ed Davey on BBC said: “we could be facing an attack from Russia by the end of this decade.” Nonsense. Even Putin couldn’t fix the damage caused by Keir Starmer & Rachel Reeves
Former UK PM Lizz Truss argues that mass immigration is being weaponised as a means of deliberately undermining the nation state, as part of a broader agenda to destroy Western civilisation.
"We're seeing left-wing politicians wanting to encourage immigration to essentially undermine the basis of our society and undermine the basis of Western civilisation."
"They want to undermine the family. They want to undermine the nation state."
"And people in Britain are saying 'we've had enough of this'... And the reaction by Keir Starmer is to arrest those people and put them in jail."
Britain once ‘ruled the waves’. Now we can’t even stop dinghies of dodgy men from arriving in Kent. We are a joke, says Brendan O’Neill

Oh look SERCO says it won’t bid for migration contracts for a Reform government. (Brilliant news)
Just so you know Serco formally joined the UN Global Compact in 2024. This Compact is for companies to align their operations with the UN and support UN Sustainable Development Goals under Agenda 2030.
Serco explicitly states that many of its operations and ESG initiatives are linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Pay attention.
