I also think about how exhausted Emma must have been from constantly needing to the strong one. For herself mostly, but also for other people. I don’t think she was ever able to truly and completely rest until Killian came along. She couldn’t afford to. Not before Killian.

One of the things I keep thinking about is how she’d never really had anyone to take care of her when she needed it. Not until Killian. He makes her feel safe enough to let herself be vulnerable. And she doesn’t care who all sees. She just needed Killian.
