@Boristhewo@WWFC_ST21 Think players like Mane, Tolu, and Doyle might potentially struggle (Maybe Lopez too). Raul and Trippier are older but have played in high-pressing system their entire careers, so they should be fine in the Champ. Other than that, our players should be fine.
@Boristhewo@global1259362@matchdayben let me rephrase, an relatively raw and callow CV doesn’t dictate the quality of the manager. It was the same with GON for us in his first season, whose only experience was a relegation battle with Bournemouth. I’m not downplaying Peixoto’s achievements at all.
@global1259362@Boristhewo@matchdayben Yep. Amorim — 13 games at Braga, went straight to Sporting. Carrick — good, but mediocre toward the end at Middlesborough, successful at Man Utd. Pep — first job was literally Barcelona. Mourinho — translator at Barcelona, straight to Benfica. Poor CV =/= poor manager.
@jay_wwfc07 The thing is GON had credit in the bank. This guy doesn’t. He’s 10x worse and has 2x the PR ffs. It must be the Halo effect and that he‘s English. It has to be
@FAppreciationyt Yep. Let me remind everyone that even Amorim, who had only 13 top-flight matches under his belt with Braga (where he also won a trophy) was picked up by Sporting and won them a league title in his 2nd season. He’s crap, but it shows you that poor C.V =/= poor manager.
@MrR1g4t The board have clearly waited until their managerial target was available and has agreed terms until they’ve sacked Edwards. Prematurely sacking straight after Burnley then finding a manager would have put doubts over the future, especially for signings. Decisive from Wolves
🇵🇹 César Peixoto | Wolves have been working on manager appointment for a month
⏸️ Would have happened sooner if Jorge Mendes hadn't been busy with Jose Mourinho and Marco Silva

@Raffo07gaming Exactly. We’ve finally started acting like a real club and people are being sentimental over a manager who wouldn’t take accountability for poor performances and results. People are now catastrophising as if Nathan wouldn’t be ruthless with this new manager too 😂. Madness
@Cookmtt1976 I was more peeved off with his lack of accountability for performances and results, constantly blaming the players. He was super immature for a manager and I have no sentiment for him. He was also Jeff‘s man and the last appointment he made, so I’m glad he’s gone.

@gibbowolves@StuArtDesign_ Not that I rate him at all but Amorim only managed a 13 games at Braga before he was picked up by Sporting and won the league with them. This guy we’ve brung in literally took Gil Vicente from bottom-half to fighting for Europe in one season. Record honestly doesn’t mean much.
@dylanwwfc Pretty sure this was before Nathan was appointed, with any discontent with him being exacerbated by his results, tactics, and comments in post-match pressers (and his lack of responsibility). Either way, this is definitely a Nathan move and not a jackson move to say the least.
@CiaranG09 Correct, and it looks like Nathan isn’t messing around either. He’s looked very decisive since he’s come in, so I’m willing to give him a bit of faith here. This ruthlessness is exactly what a club like ours needs as harsh as it may seem on Rob. This is how a club SHOULD operate
@Wwfcwolf1@Wolves I’d think we‘d need to sell Tolu, Hwang, and/or (reluctantly) Sasa to go in for another striker. We’re kinda bloated there atm. Personally think we should keep Sasa, sell Tolu and Hwang, and get Kennedy.
@global1259362@krittterrr with Mane there who can play on both wings, I think you‘d only need one more like Driouech. With our fullback options (Wolfe, Lima, Toti, Trippier), they need a complementary partner (Wolfe + IF, Trippier + Rw), so I think a few IF‘s is important for Lima and Wolfe.
