UPDATE: New bills criminalizing homelessness have been passed in multiple states.
This summer, SCOTUS will decide if throwing people in jail for being homeless violates the constitution. #JohnsonVGrantsPass

In DC and across the country, we need #HousingNotHandcuffs#FreeDC
NEW: Now more than ever, we must stay grounded in our vision for a better world, where all people have the housing and support needed to thrive. With that in mind, we’ve added two new tracking maps: Defeated Bills and Positive Policies. Learn more: https://t.co/Ul2fPVWshy
The only answer to being asked if you support forcing homeless people into gov't run detention camps is "no"
Yet that is not the answer that Trump's nominee to lead HUD gave @TinaSmithMN.
Link below to take action to stop his nomination.
When we say encampment evictions are violent and dangerous, this is what we mean.
A homeless man in Georgia was killed by the government the day before MLK's birthday in front of MLK's church.
There is another way. We need housing, not handcuffs.

More than 10,000 expensive, traumatizing sweeps have happened in NYC since @NYCMayor took office, and yet homelessness just keeps getting worse.
Facts are facts. Sweeps don't work. The city must abolish all policies criminalizing homelessness and invest in #HousingNotHandcuffs.
BREAKING: We’re suing the Eric Adams admin @NYCMayor to end the City’s cruel and unlawful homeless sweeps.
The only way to reduce homelessness and increase public safety is to ensure all people are safely housed. Full statement: https://t.co/TgagfWCvKa

Space is filling up fast, so register ASAP!
And remember, housing solves homelessness. Jails and fines make homelessness worse.
Thousands of homelessness & housing advocates have rallied around #JohnsonVGrantsPass. Despite yesterday's inhumane ruling, we must move forward and tap into the collective power we've shared.
Join us on 7/1 for a mass post-decision organizing call: https://t.co/0EK10azTMR
No serious person thinks throwing people in jail solves homelessness.
After the morally bankrupt SCOTUS decision, our elected officials must protect the rights that SCOTUS gutted and fund programs, like housing, that solve homelessness.
In America, centuries of intentional policies have pushed Black people, Indigenous people, and other people of color into homelessness at disproportionate rates. Achieving housing justice cannot be achieved without achieving racial justice.
Another day has come and gone without a decision in #JohnsonVGrantsPass.
June 28 is the last scheduled opinion day of the year, with 6-7 opinions remaining. It's possible SCOTUS will announce more days for next week.
