La meravella tĂšcnica de lâacte a la Sagrada FamĂlia i el tracte degut a la llengua catalana no han de tapar la vergonyosa acciĂł de repressiĂł contra els cantaires i contra els ciutadans que portaven banderes estelades. Calen explicacions i que sâassumexin responsabilitats.
@TheEconomist GaudĂ was not "Spanish" but Catalan and was even jailed for speaking our language in 1924 during Primo de Rivera dictatorship. If you respect his genius, you should respect too his identity.
On June 10th 1926, died Antoni GaudĂ. An amazing architect, a universal genius and a patriot who was even jailed for his defense of Catalan language. Today, 100 years later, his masterpiece Sagrada FamĂlia will receive the blessing of @Pontifex. Glory to GaudĂ and his memory.
Excm. i Rvdm. Sr. @OmellaCardenal,
@Pontifex
If you ignore Catalan, the language of the country and the language of GaudĂ, during the blessing of the Cross of Jesus Christ, you are discriminating against Catalans. You must use Catalan, not just as a political act, but because it is the most logical and normal.
đšđŁïž Thierry Henry on Robert Lewandowski leaving FC Barcelona:
âIâve seen many great strikers in football⊠players with talent, players with numbers, players with moments. But Lewandowski was different because he gave you everything a young team needs.â
âHe brought goals, yes. But more importantly, he brought discipline, mentality and calmness inside the dressing room. That is something people outside football never fully understand.â
Interviewer: âWhat made him special at Barcelona?â
Henry: âThe respect he had for the club and for the younger players. Look at Pedri, look at Lamine Yamal⊠Lewandowski was always guiding them, talking to them, teaching them how to handle pressure at the highest level.â
âA lot of experienced players only think about themselves near the end of their careers. Lewandowski was the opposite. He wanted the next generation to become better than him.â
âHe understood football beyond goals. Positioning, movement, leadership, professionalism⊠every training session he showed younger players what it truly means to be elite.â
âAnd honestly, when he leaves, Barcelona fans will realise his value even more. Because replacing goals is possible sometimes⊠replacing mentality and leadership is much harder.â
