๐ณ๏ธโ๐, will block annoyances, Partisan hack republican, Former LibRight, and repost โ endorsements. moved from Ohio to Mississippi. #Trump2024
@Axerixing Two I made. First one is a proper gerrymander and the least red one is R+29. Second one is my attempt at a compact and fairish map and the blue one is R+17.
@earlyvotedata Georgia seems to be the one state the Trump endorsement doesn't mean shit. Do Georgia Republicans dislike him that much or does the state have a really popular GOP establishment that's been immune to populist challengers?
I'm pleased to announce the BETA of my ELECTION SHUFFLER!!!
- Change the results of every election from 1972 to 2024
- Edit using key demographic datasets on the county, state, and national level
- Full control over third parties to produce the scenario in your dreams
#BREAKING: The Missouri Supreme Court rules that Governor Kehoe had full constitutional authority to call an extraordinary legislative session in 2025 to redraw congressional districts, finding that the governor has broad discretion over such matters. https://t.co/MbXReT1Tc1
@Faj1791 They're gonna have to spend to save this seat now that's probably Michigan and NH and maybe Georgia gone now. Only saving grace is the shit ton of money in the GOP war chest.
@r0berto_mid_5 East Tennessee aint even Hitlerite. Theyโve been solidly Republican ever since the Civil War because they were big abolitionists. And from every election from Ulysses S. Grant to Donald Trump theyโve always been the most Republican. They just have INCREDIBLE party loyalty- ๐ญ
With all of the discussion surrounding redistricting/gerrymandering in the US right now, I felt motivated to start a new project to answer the question "What if American districts were drawn with the same rules* as Canadian ridings?"
So I drew them, starting with Alabama. ๐งต
@Axerixing Every single election cycle this shit happens and then everyone remembers a week before the election that 2012 is long gone is Ohio is the closest to actual Trump country there is.
If Democrats win all districts up to Trump +9 under the new maps:
Dems 222
GOP 213
Under the old maps
Dems 239
GOP 196
A 17 seat gap. That's the story of redistricting in a nutshell.
@Axerixing That kinda worries me because I'd prefer Black Republicans to stay separate from the culture, I don't want their ratchet culture coming over to our party and our communities. The GOP already is starting to have a ghetto problem.
@earlyvotedata 2026 Virginia Dems should be a mandatory case study for poli sci classes on how to burn your good will with moderate voters and collapse into infighting.
@earlyvotedata She actually represents the reddest district in NY and the most Trumpy part of the entire Northeast, Trump literally got over 90% of the vote in Staten Island the 2024 primary. Unless NY dems are really desperate next year, she's safe in her seat and doesn't have to pretend.
