So if you are going to blow it up somewhat, do you trade Duran? He’s immensely valuable, premier closer with a couple years of control.

@admcrlsn Forgive me, I’m far from an expert, but didn’t Sam Brownback run Kansas into the ground doing something similarly drastic with the budget? And, (seriously), might this make the costs of going to Disney World be even more challenging in a few years when hotel taxes, etc jack up?

I do think Alan Gustafson gets transferred in the offseason, for better or worse. I think the fan pressure is a factor, the complete lack of wins, the regression to 4th team at Hendrick in terms of wins. A final four appearance would save him.

Man, I just can’t get myself to care about who is mayor of New York. I don’t live there, most people don’t live there or even close. This fascination by national journalists and political science analysts is over the top.

@DirtyMoMedia I know I’m late to this, but they want Alan’s head because the team has 2 wins in like 100 races (literally) and the crew chief gave one away. This isn’t some “I want to have it all every day” thing.

For whatever reason, this feels like a race that pits Chase Elliott and his crew chief Alan Gustafson in trouble. They are just dreadful when Byron is outstanding and Larson has endured huge adversity. Feels like it’s becoming clear this team is irrelevant and non-threatening.
