Making mockery of people’s belief is a sign of low intelligence.
Intelligent people understand the complexity of belief. So if your response to someone’s belief is mockery instead of curiosity, there’s a problem.
High intelligence usually comes with intellectual humility, because the more you learn about the world, the more you realize how much you don’t know.
That’s why uriosity requires intelligence and mockery usually replaces curiosity when someone lacks the ability or patience to understand.
This overused, overrepeated, and thoroughly exhausted point is honestly a foolish one.
If Muslims were to start saying "Jesus is God", would that not make them Christians???
So why do Christians keep shouting Jesus is God when they know Muslims do not believe it? Isn't that, by your own logic, disrespectful to Muslims? Or jealous? Or whatever exactly you people mean when you make that argument 🤡
And when Christians say Jesus is God, are they not also being disrespectful to Jews, who believe he is not God and, according to their tradition, is boiling in excrement right now?
But since some of you seem to operate on a strange "first come, first served" logic when it comes to religion, then Judaism existed before Christianity. Does that mean Jews automatically have the upper hand?
So by that reasoning, why are Christians disrespecting Judaism and its beliefs every time they proclaim that Jesus is God?
In Islam, if you steal 2k (Naira) for breakfast, the Hadd of amputation does not hold upon you.
Any theft of money/item below 1/4 of a Dinar (Gold)... equivalent to ~1.06 grams of pure gold... equivalent to about ~$80 ≠ Amputation.
Don't project some people's way of life as Islam.
Don't die of misinformation!
It’s why ‘asabiyyah (tribalism & ethnic jingoism) makes no sense whatsoever. Islam rightly forbids it and it’s one of the most beautiful aspects of this deen. Alhamdulillaah for the beauty, clarity and ease of Islam.
Fun Fact: My first name wasn’t always Mubarak, it was Femi, but I decided as a 10 year old I didn’t not want any doubt, I wanted people to know I was a Muslim the moment they met me.
Couple of months ago, I could have changed my last name to Rogers (my father’s name), I don’t think anyone would seriously object either, but I also needed people to know I’m Yoruba and Nigerian the moment they met me, so I kept my last name.
Everywhere you find me, I understand what I represent; a Muslim, Nigerian, black young man. I’m deliberate about making sure that people don’t meet me and leave without coming to a positive conclusions about Muslims, Nigerians or black people, and the least of this conclusions I work on is that WE ARE EQUALLY SMART AND CAPABLE.
Something we just need to work on our insecurities. African names are awesome and meaningful, let keep our names, it is a part of our identity.
