4 stars means I liked it a lot
5 stars is the same as 4 but it caters to me in a specific way. Everything else is vibes. I should be hired as a film critic
I think what a lot of people miss or just forget to bring up is the camera slowly zooms in on Sarah and Bear. What I liked is they started zooming in but when they reach the usual “climax” then reset the camera and start the zoom In again. Idk just small detail I love
This scene is a beautiful example of Hitchcockian suspense. You know something is gonna happen. You just don't know when or how. And then it happens and you still weren't ready.
Masterpiece
obsession has made me realize that most people under the age of 25 have probably watched more youtube videos of people explaining movies than actual movies themselves
Obsession is a really good movie but unfortunately it's a movie that makes dumb people feel really smart for seeing very obvious and intentional meanings so the past few weeks of "discourse" have been really painful
George Lucas did not script this moment. Warwick Davis and Watto became friends on set. This is their genuine reaction and it was so good that they kept it in the film
Buddy had the house party spot AND the first thing he did when he hit a billion was try to go share it with his super loser best friend.
Being cool can take you places.
@CaptainChancer@reservedtay@zoeyduatch Wasnt it like after she spends the night then goes to the job and tells Ian “ like dude she is acting weird” then Ian takes her home that same day and he tells Bear she was on drugs. Then she appears at his house in that red dress and we only see her silhouette w/ the beady eyes.
@CaptainChancer@reservedtay@zoeyduatch He was worried that’s why he called Bear to tell him she was on drugs but something wasn’t right or that’s what I remember
I don’t think Sarah deserved what happened to her at all and the text she sent Nikki does show she wasn’t completely heartless or unconcerned. But I also can’t fully act like she was innocent either but she was emotionally biased toward Bear from the start and ignored a lot of red flags because of it. To me she’s more tragic and flawed than purely “deserved better.”
don’t crucify me but I think this is a really good example of how this genre of large male streamer looks at everything and everyone around them only as opportunities for content. they don’t have empathy, they just see dollar signs
