Astonishing work from Jakub, Corey, Sarah & Emma. 13 grade 9s and 7 Distinction*s between them. Not only this but they also studied Further Maths after school and gained 2 A*and 2 As. Well done to all of our year 11s. Lovely to see so many smiley faces today. #ReadyToLearnHPA
Huge congratulations to all our year 11s picking up their exam results today. Both geographers and historians have so much to be proud of. Well done all of you!
Check out the promised addition to the 12 mark question video.

My new vid is out already! This time helping you get a grade 7 on the 12 mark question. The additional short video on how to convert that to a 9 will be out in a few days. https://t.co/Oglm4zwLJz #gcsehistory#revision
A really useful and interesting blog on teaching our students how to decode both historical language and work out what it is the examiners want them to do.
So proud to see so many of our wonderful HPA students, looking smart in their uniforms, honouring the sacrifice of those who fell in so many wars. Particularly Tom, in year 11, laying a wreath on behalf of the Army Cadets. #ArmisticeDay100
Before half-term, students created ‘Hastings Road’ to piece together the key events of the Battle of Hastings. ‘Link phrases’ used to develop sequencing and the relationship between cause and consequence. Embedding GCSE skills in Y7. #NQT
The memorial to the homosexuals persecuted under Nazism stands alone in a corner of the Großer Tiergarten. The light you can see is a video of gay men and women kissing mixed with images of persecution. This is a hotly debated memorial. What do you think? #pride#memorials
The canal where Rosa Luxemberg's body was dumped following the Spartacist Uprising in 1919. Something to consider is the link between the anti semitic and anti communist beliefs of the Nazi party.
So much to share with you all. For now consider the words above the Reichstag. "For the people" think about what you know about the history of Germany and how the meaning of this changes. #teachercpd
