@BeschlossDC We could not get online and no one was telling us. It wasn’t until lunchtime that we heard the news. From a student’s parent who also brought a chocolate chip cookie cake for my birthday. It’s easy to forget that news was not instantaneous like it is now.

@BeschlossDC 9-11 is my birthday. I was turning 26 and teaching fifth grade outside Richmond Virginia. Around 9:30 the principal announced that the afterschool Boy Scout meeting was canceled. Then shortly after, all outdoor recess was canceled for the day. We had no idea what was happening.

@Angela_Watson 1 is more meaningful. The brain is colorful but the lightbulb gives you a better sense of what the book will be about.
