My visit to @NEMOamsterdam today was a nice reminder of the importance of science. So many things in our day to day life have explanations that are completely counter intuitive. If it wasn't for science, we would rely on our intuition and have even more misconceptions.
I actually think this type of question assumes too much. Not everyone fancies to have friends at work and in the Gallup index the assumption is that you're more engaged when you have a best friend at work and less when you don't. Says who?

@steph_moore I've not seen anything from Design Thinking that wasn't similar to tools and techniques from the world of TQM from back in the early 1980s. Including Quality Circles, QFD. Plus various Marketing tools & techniques from the same era.
Multiple studies show that ppl who look up info on the Internet assume that they now have accurate/ nuanced domain knowledge. Yet in reality all they have is increased confidence, confusing that what's on the web is now in their heads. (The Knowledge Illusion, Sloman & Fernbach)
