Why is anyone putting a microphone in front of her?

Chrystia Freeland is not the Finance Minister. She is a special advisor to Ukraine sitting on Bloomberg telling Americans they can “lose by winning,” comparing tariffs to Brexit, and then wrapping it with “Canadians want to support our prime minister.” That is not analysis. That is the same crew that spent a decade wrecking the books now trying to narrate the cleanup they never delivered.

She ran Finance while deficits piled up, housing blew apart, and the country got lectured about how affordable life was. Now she is on U.S. television talking like she still speaks for Canada. She does not. She speaks for the brand. Steel, aluminum, autos — she is not wrong that those sectors get hurt. What she will not say is who left those sectors weaker before the first new tariff even landed. Eleven years of policy did that. She was in the room.

Losing by winning is a cute line. Canada already lived it. We won the photo ops. We won the slogans. We won the lectures. Workers in Windsor, Hamilton, Saguenay and Oshawa got the bill.

If Bloomberg wants a Canadian voice on trade, pick someone who has to live with the receipt. Not the minister who left and still talks like the country owes her an audience.

🚨🇬🇧 IS BRITAIN PREPARING FOR WORLD WAR III?

95,000 FORMER TROOPS.

RECALL TO AGE 65.

“WARLIKE PREPARATIONS.”

A 2027 NATO MOBILISATION TEST.

A NEW DIGITAL MOBILISATION SYSTEM.

Those words sound dramatic.

But look at what the British Government is actually doing.

Britain is changing the rules governing its Strategic Reserve.

The maximum recall age is being increased from 55 to 65.

The threshold for recalling former personnel is being expanded to include:

“WARLIKE PREPARATIONS.”

And in 2027, Britain's Armed Forces intend to use NATO's Steadfast Defender exercise to practise calling up elements of the Strategic Reserve and getting former personnel back into uniform.

Now there's another development.

The MOD has confirmed funding for a new digital system covering:

Communications.

Data handling.

The mobilisation process itself.

And it goes considerably further.

The Government is developing Defence Readiness legislation intended to prepare Britain for crisis or war — including industry, infrastructure, resources and the mobilisation of wider defence capacity.

The Strategic Defence Review itself discusses Britain's ability to make a “transition to war” if required.

Let's be absolutely clear.

This does NOT mean 95,000 veterans are about to be called up.

Britain has NOT announced civilian conscription.

And this does NOT prove World War III is coming.

But Britain is rebuilding the legal, digital, military and industrial machinery it would need if a major conflict came.

So the questions are unavoidable:

WHY NOW?

WHAT DOES “WARLIKE PREPARATIONS” ACTUALLY MEAN?

AND IS BRITAIN PREPARING FOR A WAR MUCH BIGGER THAN THE PUBLIC REALISES?

I've gone through the Government documents, legislation and parliamentary evidence.
