@moveincircles I read both fiction and non fiction. 80% non fiction though. I think reading is just a habit that most men get out off. Too busy on their phones.
@BortBurner @Richard89220241 @atrupar Thing is, it isn't really free trade. Goods flow into America and dollars flow out, not other goods. It's only the fact that the dollar is the reserve currency that the debt is bought and the dollar stays high. It's hollowing out the economy in that sense. Only service remain.
@BortBurner @Richard89220241 @atrupar Well yes, the trouble is they're all low skill service jobs now. The largest employer in the US is Walmart. That's never going to pay high wages. Hi skilled manufacturing just goes to china or Mexico because it can be done cheaply. That's not subsidies. That's globalisation.
@BortBurner @Richard89220241 @atrupar Well let me be more specific. It's hollowed out manufacturing and has been deflationary on wages. GDP has gone up but the average American hasn't seen any gains. The economy is not working for the people of America. Free trade has done that.
