HMAS Sydney has successfully fired a Naval Strike Missile (NSM) during a multinational sinking exercise (SINKEX) at Exercise @RimofthePacific (RIMPAC) 2026, marking another significant milestone in the @Australian_Navy's growing maritime strike capability.

@RimofthePacific @Australian_Navy Following the NSM engagement, the target was further engaged by MH-60 Romeo helicopters from Sydney’s embarked Flight 607 Fenrir, and Flight 605 Dundee currently embarked on @USNavy USS WAYNE E. MEYER, with two Hellfire missiles each.

@USNavy @AusAirForce @BoeingDefense @NZAirForce The SINKEX also involved a @JMSDF_PAO submarine launching torpedoes on the target, along with a @USAirForce B-2A Spirit launching an AGM-154 Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM).
