@RichmondGroupOC@CommLeisureUK This sounds really interesting. Our current research study is exploring something similar but specifically for severe mental illness- see my post for more details about a community PA provider survey and share if you can 😊 https://t.co/4wOrKwcPW2
We're looking for non-NHS physical activity providers to share experiences and support needs for engaging with people who live with severe mental illness (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder).
Have no such experience? We still want to hear from you!

“Three out of four children feel happy at junior parkrun!”
We're proud to have supported the first Health and Wellbeing Survey for junior parkrun, led by Dr. Helen Quirk. Featuring insights from more than 1,800 families, this survey highlights the immense value, potential and impact of junior parkrun.
Our funding partnership with @parkrunUK has enabled the expansion and enhancement of junior parkrun events across the UK. We have invested £1.19 million, over three years, to support at least 300,000 children to be active.
Great piece of work by Allison, making fantastic progress towards completing her PhD.
Social opportunities at @parkrun foster the formation of deep connections as well as casual interactions that benefit mental wellbeing among middle aged men in Ireland.
"parkrun friends" 🌳
I'm delighted to share our new publication "My parkrun friends."
"The results suggest that parkrun is a suitable community initiative for middle-aged men at risk of poor mental wellbeing due to social isolation." @HealthPromInt@SHU_AWRC@parkrunIE https://t.co/mubRU6qZNx
@DrGarethJones@ISBNPA Way to go! I have many questions like how was it, where's the conference ...but really all I want to know is how long did it take you to cool off after this run? 🥵
A labour of love but so pleased to see it in print @BioMedCentral. An honest account of the highs & lows of community outreach. There are challenges, but parkrun is addressing them & I'm thrilled to be working with them to grow & diversify junior parkrun🌟 https://t.co/SKcd620zI3
