I sincerely appreciate this swift response from the Anambra State Govt @CCSoludo on the shameful assault against our NYSC corps members.
What happened in Oba was disgusting and must never happen again, but this press release is a step in the right direction.
By condemning the action clearly, distancing the government from such lawlessness, and assuring that those involved will face the full weight of the law, you have restored some confidence.
I am also encouraged by the emphasis that Agunechemba and Operation Udo Ga-Achi were created to maintain order, not to brutalize innocent citizens.
This reminder is important because it shows that any vigilante officer who steps outside their code of conduct is acting as a criminal, not as a state-backed protector.
Most importantly, the assurance to our youth corps members is key. These young Nigerians are sacrificing one year of their lives to serve the nation.
They deserve to feel safe in Anambra, not hunted. By publicly reassuring them and urging cooperation with security agencies, the government has made it clear that justice will be served.
I will hold you to this promise, my Leader @CCSoludo. Let those responsible be prosecuted, let justice be transparent, and let this case be a warning to every other security outfit in the state. The dignity and safety of our people must always come first.
This is how govt should work.....condemn wrong, act swiftly, and reassure the people.
Dear @officialnyscng x @nysc_anambra
When will you speak on the case of an assault on a female corps member in Anambra State by some members of a vigilante group?
This attack on an NYSC member in Anambra is part of the reasons I'm very sceptical about State Policing.
Nigerians are natural animals once they have very little power, this is just a group of vigilantes with double barrel guns, imagine them with AK47 assault rifles + state power
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Anambra state police command described how the ongoing investigation into the assault and public stripping of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Jennifer Elobor, has been hindered.

This is Anambra State Government Agents beating up a driver in the middle of the road because he overtook their convoy on the express.
We demand justice for this driver.
#justiceforJenniferElobor The state government must compensate the victim given that the populace were at the mercy of this level of operatives with zero work ethic .
#justiceforjenniferElobor must include a compensation plan for the corps member who chose to serve her nation and was sadly molested ,beaten and striped naked .
Vigilante Operatives behind assault on female corps member Jennifer Elobor have been arrested.
~ Anambra state Government
She is a member of NYSC serving in Anambra State, she was b€∆t€n, str1pped n∆k€d and left bl€€din
these state actors stormed the corps lodge, accusing the members of being "Yahoo people"
", despite their prompt production of
NYSC identification cards and uniforms.
The assault was particularly egregious in the case of Jennifer Edema Elohor, who was beaten, stripped naked,
#justiceforjenniferElobor Should not end at prosecuting the vigilantes the state government should compensate the corps member for her public humiliation for the sole reason that she chose to serve her country .
“Justice Must Be Seen to Be Done: Operatives who assaulted Ms. Jennifer Elobor must be prosecuted”
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) @NigBarAssoc stongly condemns the brutal assault on Ms. Jennifer Elobor, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving in Anambra State. The incident, which left her beaten and her clothing torn off, is nothing short of degrading, inhumane, and a direct violation of her dignity and fundamental human rights as guaranteed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Nobody, whether suspected of an offence or entirely innocent, deserves to be subjected to such barbaric treatment.
The NBA notes that while security agencies have the mandate to apprehend criminals and maintain law and order, such powers must never be exercised in a manner that tramples upon the rights of innocent citizens. Even where an arrest is to be effected, the law provides clear procedures to ensure that the dignity of the individual is protected. The conduct displayed in the video, a young corps member beaten and stripped of her clothing, is a complete negation of those safeguards and an affront to human decency.
The NBA commends the Anambra State Government for its swift action in identifying and arresting the operatives responsible. This decisive move reflects commendable responsiveness to public outrage. However, accountability must not stop at arrest. The NBA insists that the perpetrators must be promptly and diligently prosecuted in accordance with the law. Justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done, to serve as both redress for Ms. Elobor and deterrence against similar abuses in the future.
This incident highlights the urgent need for comprehensive training, reorientation, and continuous capacity-building of security operatives. Respect for human rights, professionalism, and restraint must be embedded in their conduct at all times. The Anambra State Government must ensure that mechanisms are put in place to prevent the recurrence of such violations and to reassure citizens that the forces meant to protect them will not become agents of abuse.
The NBA branches in Anambra State and the National Litigation Committee are hereby directed to closely monitor this incident to ensure justice is served. We reaffirm our commitment to defending the rule of law, safeguarding human dignity, and ensuring justice for Ms. Elobor.

We have not heard from this lady ,but everything points to intimidation and breach of contract on the poor girl by an obviously hating air hostess that intentionally, restrained the passenger, ordered her maiming, tore her top to expose her braless boobs .
# justiceforEmmason
@fkeyamo The airline should be equally charged and the young woman compensated for the debasement of her womanhood in the name of her arrest from the plane ,she was willing to alight without support , what went wrong ,?assumedly , She may not have been this violent if not for her nudity
@fkeyamo We should be allowed to hear her defence ,why she was restrained before she went berserk , why her top was intentionally torn by the air hostess , why the video of her nudity was released to the public ,why she was so treated ,what if she was a mental case ?
