It’s high time for a group of passionate aviation enthusiasts of Sri Lankan origin to assemble an investment group and tender an offer to purchase the airline outright at a fair market valuation and assemble a governance board to expand to the airline’s routes with a brand new fleet to compete and eventually long haul routes to the USA, Asia Pacific, and Australia.
Let’s return Sri Lankan airlines to its glorious post independence heritage where service was par excellence.

Honored to have been invited to deliver a presentation on AI and Vascular Surgery at the 2nd Annual Scientific Sessions of the Sri Lanka Society of Vascular Surgery in the country of my ancestral origins.

It was fitting, considering that the idea of an intelligent, machine-learning computer (HAL) was introduced some 60 years ago by fellow scuba diver and Sri Lankan Sir Arthur C. Clarke in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey! It was a true honor to pay homage to the tradition established by this small island nation who are friends of everyone and enemies of none !
