“We need to break students of the idea that mathematics is the pursuit of answers” Loving @JohnSanGiovanni ‘s discussion of #mathroutines that encourage number sense and flexible mathematical thinking #ATMNE18
As a incoming teacher I love finding resources like this. What a great variety of options to support classroom management in a resistant class. Will be saving this! @kevinsmithsd#dsumath
I love this math talk strategy. You can see how each student solved it differently. We can see how students use new math and recognized math procedures to solve the problem. We can also start great classroom conversations with all these different methods! @kevinsmithsd#dsumath
Incorporating #MathTalks into our schedule is one of my favorite times of the week! Love their thinking. We started with something they are familiar with and will increase the rigor as we progress this year. 😊#5thgrade#Dragons
Elementary Math educators, we were introduced to this math activities app in class this week. I have to say, I was engaged! Great way to challenge student's thought processes and allow them to solve problems in their own way.
