As someone who genuinely enjoys making people feel seen by listening to them, I've had to master the art of mentally checking out and disassociating from boring conversations,especially with people who only ever talk about themselves. I'll make you feel like I'm fully engaged while my mind is somewhere else entirely by asking some random follow up questions from random words I've heard in your story . I guess that's why I can hold a phone call for 2 hrs plus with anyone, even if it's our first time speaking.
