Hi guys! This is my service learning project and my goal is to spread awareness on the importance of dental health and the long lasting consequences when you don't take care of those pearly whites :)
Did you know that there are different forms of periodontitis?
There is aggressive periodontitis, the rapid loss of attachment and bone destruction, chronic periodontitis, the progressive loss of of bone and soft tissue, and necrotizing periodontitis, causing death of gum tissue.
It's important to take care of your teeth NOW in order to prevent serious consequences such as tooth loss and necrotising disease. These are easily preventable by brushing and flossing your teeth daily. #brushup#flossup
Did you know there are different kinds of dentures?
There are full dentures that are used to replace all your teeth and partial dentures that only replace some of your teeth. All dentures are customized for a personalized fit just for YOU.
Periodontitis is the result of untreated gingivitis. This is an infection that destroys soft tissue and bone, causing tooth loss. Long term periodontitis can cause more serious problems such as increased blood sugar and even increased risk of a heart attack and stroke. #brushup
Did you know that heart disease can be directly caused by periodontitis, a severe form of gum disease? This can be easily prevented by brushing your teeth everyday.
